Vacancies are advertised in the North West Evening Mail (www.nwemail.co.uk) on Mondays and Thursdays. Jobcentreplus also hold vacancies and recruitment agencies are another way of finding work.

Manufacturing, professional, skilled manual, technical, health care, nursing, retail and clerical and administrative employment opportunities are available to all age groups and many firms have apprentice and graduate openings.

Undergraduates

There are around 1,000 young people from Furness who are undertaking 2nd/3rd year undergraduate studies at British Universities who are the potential highly skilled business people of the future.
