Last week I met with the Barrow Retailers Group to discuss the retailing prospects locally in this recession. We revealed to them a survey of businesses in Furness which pointed to the local economy seems doing better than it is in many parts of the UK, potentially putting more spending power into the area. They wanted to know how retailers can better access consumers.
